At the moment I'm about halfway through watching Island Of The Dead, that ubiquitous staple of DVD bargain bins. Halfway through and nothing has happened. Seriously, nothing. Maybe the director is trying to establish a mood, but he's only done that by shooting on overcast days and throwing in some closeups of grubs on a laptop and flashbacks to inept insert shots from earlier in the movie. Goddammit, I want some zombies. And goddammit, why the hell is Mos Def in this?
